Esta simpática maqueta, no se puede calificar de otra forma, está montada en dos tardes (literal), las únicas mejoras han consistido en acoplarle las ruedas de un Kubel de Tamiya, mejorarle el cuadro de mandos con un fotograbado de Aber, la bocina es la que suministra la plancha de herramientas para el Panzer IV de Tamiya y alguna cosilla menor.

Ahora mismo solo le falta modelarle la lona con masilla de dos componentes y algún detalle de ultima hora según la versión que finalmente decida.

El escarabajo es de Italeri, que ofrece el molde de CMK,  está muy bien, es sencillo, el despiece y el ajuste son buenos y salvo las ruedas que son infumables, el resto como os digo es muy agradecido.

Me gustaría pintarlo de los que utilizaron los ingleses en el '46 en la Alemania ocupada, aunque no se si podré porque todas las fotos de esa época que tengo se ven los "Beetles" con techo de chapa, se agradecerían sugerencias al respecto.

Italeri - CMK 1/35

This nice kit - I cannot say other adjective for this- has been assembled in a couple of evenings (literally speaking). The only additions -apart from other minor ones- have been the wheels, which come from a TAMIYA's Kübelwagen, the dashboard - instrument panel, which comes from an ABER's PE set, and the horn, which is the one supplied by TAMIYA in its tool and accesories set for Pz. IV.

The only things still to be done is to sculpt the tarpaulin with a two-component sculpting paste and to add some other details, this depending on the version that >I finally decide to build.

The Beetle comes from ITALERI, which offers the CMK kit. It is nice, easy to assemble, and the parts fit together well.... with the sole exception of the wheels, which seem to be unacceptable for me, the kit is a very pleasant one.

I would like to paint it as those Beetles which were used bby the British in the year 1946 in the occupied Germany. The point is that I do not know wether I will be able to do this or not, as far as all the photographs I have seen depict the car with a metal roof (and not with a tarpaulin). Suggestions are more than welcome.
